Library Thanks Donors for $440,000
The E.P. Foster Library hosted a party Friday evening to recognize citizens and businesses that collectively donated $440,000 for new ceilings, a technology center, a new homework center and other equipment.
The library’s “Your Future Library” campaign was established to pay for improvements not covered by the city’s $1.8-million renovation project.
The library “leads the way in community partnering, as represented by those here tonight,” said campaign chairman David Bianco. “Ventura has truly been committed to building a better library.”
The library is planning another drive to raise $2 million for more technology equipment, Bianco said.
