Author David Gabbe will host an Exploring Soy cooking class from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave. The class will also be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 3. The cost is $30, plus a $10 materials fee. Information: (714) 327-7525.
