Neighborhoods throughout the city are being invited to join thousands of communities nationwide for the 17th annual National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit. The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 1. The city is asking neighbors to turn on their exterior house lights and spend the evening outside with one another.
