7 Die When Truck Hits SUV on Interstate

CHAPIN, S.C. —
A truck crossed an interstate median and slammed head-on into a Chevrolet Suburban Monday, killing seven people, including five members of a North Carolina family headed to the beach, police said.
Four others were critically injured when the truck blew a tire and lost control on Interstate 26 near Columbia, police said.
The truck driver and six of the Suburban’s 10 occupants died at the scene, including four children. Eight of them were from one North Carolina family, police said.
