The city Arts Commission has sent back to committee the issue of where to relocate the sculpture fountain in front of City Hall.
The seven-member commission, which advises the City Council on arts-related matters, voted unanimously Monday to assign its Sculpture Committee the task of looking for alternative locations for the two bronze-plated cones that form “Synectic Falls.”
Some residents and City Council members have been critical of the $27,000 abstract sculpture, saying it doesn’t fit with the Spanish style of City Hall and the surrounding area.
