Discrimination Lawsuit Filed Against Disneyland

A former Disneyland employee, who was fired after less than three months on the job, is suing the theme park over allegations that he was subjected to mistreatment by supervisors, racial epithets and Swastikas posted on his locker.

Sergio Delgadillo, 39, of Los Angeles contends in a lawsuit filed this week in Orange County Superior Court that he was harassed, discriminated against and wrongly fired last year because he is Latino.

He also claims he was paid less than his non-Latino peers in a 16-member work group of “ager-grainers,” employees who use paint and other chemicals to make items and displays at Disneyland appear older.

Disneyland spokesman Ray Gomez said the park had not yet been served with the lawsuit and as company policy does not comment on pending lawsuits.

The park’s parent company, Walt Disney Co., also was named as a defendant.

Delgadillo was told he was being dismissed for economic reasons and because his work had been completed, said his attorney, Steve A. Hoffman.
