2 Men Discovered Shot to Death at Gravel Yard

Two men were found shot to death late Wednesday night at Vulcan Materials Co., a gravel yard east of the San Gabriel River Freeway, Sheriff Department officials said Thursday.

Authorities said they did not know whether the men were Vulcan employees or whether the bodies were dumped at the industrial site, at 13130 Los Angeles St. Sheriff’s homicide detectives are assisting the Irwindale Police Department.

Authorities are seeking to identify the two victims, both Latino males about 35. One victim was described as 5-foot-8 and 172 pounds, dressed in a brown and white plaid short-sleeved shirt and black jeans. The second was 6-foot-1 and 237 pounds and was wearing a white T-shirt, green cargo-style shorts and black sandals.
