Leadership Program Taking Applications

The Ventura Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for “Leadership Ventura,” a 10-month program designed to foster future community leaders.
Classes are held monthly between September and June and include instruction on criminal justice, culture and the arts, education, government, health and human services, media, economic development and the environment.
“The program is designed to provide the knowledge and perspective that tomorrow’s leaders will need to guide our community through the challenging and sometimes difficult times,” spokeswoman Kelly Nicely said.
Seventy people have completed the program since it was established in 1994.
For information or an application, call 648-2875. Those who register by Aug. 15 will save $50 on the $600 registration fee.
