* HomeGrocer.com introduced its online delivery service to San Diego, an operation it said will create about 300 jobs locally. The San Diego customer fulfillment center is HomeGrocer.com’s fifth in Southern California and eighth overall. The company plans to start operations in Atlanta later this month. Chief Executive Mary Alice Taylor said the company is focused on turning each of its fulfillment centers to profitability within 15 months of opening.

* Duke Energy Corp. was awarded a 20-year, multimillion-dollar contract to run heating and cooling systems at Boeing Co.’s Delta II rocket plant in Huntington Beach. Duke said its DukeSolutions unit will spend the next 18 months overhauling energy systems at the Space and Communications facility. Charlotte, N.C.-based Duke also will advise Boeing on ways to reduce energy costs at the plant.
