He is on the disabled list with shoulder tendinitis, but has made two minor-league rehabilitation appearances and is ready to come off. Right-hander Mark Gardner (4-2, 5.71) is Manager Dusty Baker’s alternative. The Angels were 1-2 against the Giants last season at Candlestick Park.
