Baby Found Dead in Grocery Dumpster to Be Buried Friday
POMONA —
A newborn girl found dead in a dumpster behind a grocery store will be buried at a Riverside County cemetery Friday.
The body was discovered April 6 by a man searching for discarded fruit. Pomona Police Sgt. Paul Capraro said they still have no idea who the child’s parents are or who placed the baby in the dumpster.
The Gardens of Angels Inc., which provides burials in cases in which no one claims the body, will bury the child at the Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimesa.
