An 18-year-old Long Beach man was stabbed twice Sunday afternoon in a fight over a parking spot, Huntington Beach police said.

Michael Luna, 19, was in custody Sunday after allegedly stabbing Selha Ly in the back, Sgt. Gary Meza said. Both were reportedly trying to occupy a single parking spot at the same time.

The altercation took place near the intersection of 5th Street and Walnut Avenue in downtown Huntington Beach. Ly was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, and his injuries were not life-threatening, Meza said.
