Joan Hood and Kit Hunter, two Associated Seniors Action Program volunteers, have been honored by the city for reaching their 4,000-hour volunteer milestone.

Hood, a charter member of the program, is the lieutenant of operations, the highest volunteer rank in the program. She earned her 3,000-hour pin in 1998.

Hunter, a five-year volunteer for the program, is part of the Clerical Support Unit, assists the Engineering Division in City Hall and has been the programs’ newsletter editor since 1994. Hunter also earned her 3,000-hour pin in 1998.
