YORBA LINDA
The Organization of Unified Concerned Homeowners will meet June 27 to discuss the El Toro airport proposal and how the passage of Measure F will affect it.
The guest speaker will be Bill Kogerman, a member of Citizens for Safe and Healthy Communities. The group was formed to support Measure F, an Orange County initiative that requires a two-thirds voter approval for the construction of jails, landfills or airports within half a mile of residences.
The initiative was passed in March and considered a victory for those fighting against construction of an airport at El Toro. Kogerman will discuss the effects of Measure F and the future of El Toro.
The meeting will begin 7 p.m. at the Yorba Linda Community Center, 4501 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 999-3224.
