Profit Jumps

Adobe Systems Inc. said its operating profit jumped 43% to $95.8 million, or 51 cents a share, in its fiscal second quarter, beating estimates of 48 cents. The software maker’s revenue rose 22% to $300.1 million, with a boost from its programs used to design Web pages. San Jose-based Adobe released the results after the markets closed. Its shares fell $2.75 to $122 in after-hours trading, after closing up $2.88 at $124.75 on Nasdaq.
