Man Shot to Death at San Bernardino Mall
SAN BERNARDINO —
A man was shot to death in front of customers at a shopping mall Friday afternoon, police said.
Richard Mendez, 28, of Westminster, was pronounced dead at a hospital after the attack at 2:30 p.m. in a public area of the Inland Center, Sgt. Ernie Lemos said.
Mendez was shot during an argument, and the gunman fled with two other men in a car parked near the store, police said.
The cause of the argument was not known. About 10 witnesses to the shooting were interviewed, Sgt. Bob Evans said.
