Echoing last year’s multi-night House of Blues stand by the Cult, Duran Duran is booked for four nights at the Sunset Strip club, Aug. 28-31, with tickets going on sale Saturday. If those dates sell out, more are expected to be added. . . .

With a Las Vegas show now in place and an album recently released, the performance-art project the Blue Man Group is branching out. Founders Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman will coat themselves in azure for a rare concert appearance at the This Ain’t No Picnic festival July 2 at the Oak Canyon Ranch in Irvine. Appearing before Beck’s set, the trio will play music on their custom PVC piping instruments and do their performance piece involving paint and marshmallows.
