ElectroService Laboratories Is Sold to Dutch Company

The Dutch firm Teleplan International N.V. has purchased ElectroService Laboratories in Ventura and two of its affiliates in Lincoln, Calif., and Toronto, Canada.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Teleplan is a public company traded on the Frankfurt, Germany, exchange. All three of the purchased companies will continue to be managed by John Morgan, ElectroService’s president.
ElectroService and its affiliates specialize in tape and optical drive technology, providing repair and support services to computer manufacturers. The three companies have more than 400 employees and reported 1999 sales of more than $20 million.
Teleplan’s acquisition strengthens its presence in North America and is part of its worldwide expansion plan.
