PLACENTIA
City officials have been running a program dubbed Adopt a Flag that encourages residents to sponsor a flag from the city for $100. People who adopt flags can pick one of many designated spots for it to be flown or hung, and they will receive a certificate and his or her name placed on a plaque at City Hall as a donor.
City officials have included $5,000 in the budget to buy flags for the program and place them along Rose Drive.
