Last week, the City Council approved the city’s $123-million budget for the 2000-01 fiscal year.
The council approved a transfer of $1.25 million from the general fund to the golf course capital reserve fund to help pay for the construction of a new clubhouse at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course. It also approved a $2 weekday and $3 weekend greens fee increase to help finance the rest of the $3.2-million project and assorted other improvements to the course. The council also set up a contingency fund of $75,000 to monitor helicopter noise.
