IRVINE
The Irvine Public Schools Foundation has received $165,000 in grants to install a software program for health offices in every Irvine Unified school.
The program, introduced to the middle schools in April, will vastly increase efficiency, health officials said.
Until now, the district’s nurses and health clerks had to keep multiple copies of each student’s health records, said Sally Snyder, the district’s health services coordinator. This will be unnecessary with the computer system, which will eventually be networked to give health workers access to the records of every student in the district.
