Hines Horticulture Acquires a Supplier

Irvine commercial nurseries operator Hines Horticulture Inc., continuing its geographical expansion, said Monday it acquired a Miami supplier of bedding and holiday plants in the southeastern United States.

Terms of the transaction for Lovell Farms Inc. were not disclosed.

Hines said Lovell Farms has annual sales of more than $50 million. Hines Horticulture cultivates and sells container-grown plants. Last year, the company reported sales of $277.7 million.
