Freeway Walls
Where are our politicians? In 1968-69 the 91 Freeway was opened for traffic. Sound walls were installed all over, except in Bellflower. This freeway runs through a section of old Bellflower with many senior citizens living there, including my wife and me.
The noise of the traffic on the freeway most of the time is unbearable. It starts at 5 a.m. and even with all the windows closed the noise penetrates and is so loud and disturbing that sleeping is finished. In the afternoon, sitting outside makes talking to each other almost impossible because of the traffic noise, and we live two blocks from the freeway. I pity anybody living closer than we do.
