Laguna Woods resident Jackie Carey has been appointed chairwoman of the new Major Gifts Committee for the Saddleback Memorial Foundation, which raises money for Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Carey, a member of the foundation’s board of directors, begins immediately.
The new committee will focus on raising money for the medical center’s critical care unit, catheterization lab and the purchase of basic hospital equipment, said Nolan Draney, the foundation’s president.
The Laguna Hills-based Saddleback Memorial has served south Orange County for 25 years.
