* Site--Rose Bowl.

* Radio--KRLA (1110), KTNQ (1020, Spanish).

* Record vs. Rapids (1999)--Regular season 2-2, playoffs 2-0.

* Update--Galaxy Coach Sigi Schmid was suspended from the game by Major League Soccer “for public criticism of officials and abusive behavior after the Galaxy’s 2-0 MLS Cup ’99 loss at Foxboro Stadium on Nov. 21.” Assistant Ralph Perez will fill in. Six of Colorado’s 20 players are sidelined by injury. Among those out are Swedish midfielder Anders Limpar (hamstring) and goalkeeper David Kramer (broken nose). Colorado is 1-7 all time at the Rose Bowl, where the Galaxy has outscored the Rapids, 21-8. U.S. Olympic team goalkeeper Adin Brown, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound prospect from William & Mary, makes his MLS debut. The Rapids bring a 679-minute scoreless streak into the game, including two playoff shutouts against the Galaxy that ended their 1999 season. Coach Glenn Myernick is counting on Panamanian forward Jorge Dely Valdes and his Colombian counterpart, Henry Zambrano, to end that drought.
