Digital cameras are all the rage, yet until recently their bulky size and low-resolution images made them less than ideal for travelers. But technology changes even faster than currency rates, and now there’s a new breed of pocket-sized models. One standout is Fujifilm’s new FinePix 4700 Zoom camera. Not much larger than a deck of cards, this 9-ounce camera fits in your jacket pocket. It’s as simple to use as any point-and-click camera, and the 4.3 million pixel image file will do justice to irreplaceable vacation photos. It also records 80 seconds of video with sound on its 16mb SmartMedia card. And, of course, the 2-inch LCD screen lets you see your pictures immediately and erase any unflattering ones.
