Improvement

Share

It is refreshing to see that as fine a newspaper as The Times is, it always feels that it can improve. Many, many years ago when I was fortunate enough to be one of two Los Angeles city school teachers to be named among 10 outstanding Southern California teachers by the Southern California Industry Education Council, none of our names appeared in the column-long story carried by The Times that described the honoring luncheon.

On March 14, when The Times ran a story on the naming of 10 women of the year by the L.A. County Commission for Women, four (or five) of the women were actually named.

Now, that’s improvement!
