Graffiti Panel Seeking Donations
A volunteer “tagger task force” has put out a call for donations of Polaroid film--or the money to buy it--to continue its mission to spot, record and report blight in the Valley, organizers said Monday.
The Community Tagger Task Force is made up of about 150 volunteers with cameras, but they lack an important piece of equipment--film, said Reserve Officer Ivor Alan-Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division.
The task force, comprising local residents and business owners, is overseen by LAPD officers, who train volunteers to drive around the Valley, take photographs and turn them in to the police.
Volunteers are to be honored Monday during a ceremony at the Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
