Butler to Be Roxburgh VP; Baca Is OrcoNet Controller

* Marina Butler has been appointed vice president of the Roxburgh Agency in Costa Mesa. Butler, who joined the agency in 1998, was previously an account supervisor.

* James E. Baca is the new controller at OrcoNet, an Orange-based provider of Internet access services. He will be responsible for all day-to-day financial activities of the company. His experience includes 10 years with Arthur Andersen LLP.

* Desmond Edwards has joined MediNet in Costa Mesa as contracts administrator and interim director of the Biomedical Services division. He previously worked for Masterplan in Los Angeles as regional operations manager, where he managed hospital biomedical equipment maintenance programs within hospital systems.

* Nora Perotti has joined Gladstone International in Irvine as an account coordinator and will manage Latino media relations. She was formerly a professor at the Universidad de Belgrano and Universidad de Moron in Buenos Aires, where she taught journalism and communication theory in Spanish.

* Jamie Graham has been named vice president of product management for IPNet Solutions Inc. in Newport Beach. Graham joined the company from Wonderware Corp.

* Susan Howington has been appointed vice president of business development in the Irvine office of Lee Hecht Harrison. She previously worked for an outplacement firm for two years and was with the Geneva Cos., an investment banking firm.

* Steven A. Newman has been appointed to the board of directors of Kanakaris Communications Inc. in Costa Mesa, and a strategic advisor to the chief executive. Newman is executive vice president and vice chairman of Xybernaut Corp.

* Jim McInerney has joined R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine as project man- ager. He was previously a project manager for a California building firm and was a project manager for Homestead Village Hotels.
