Only one parent showed up at Monday’s Capistrano Unified School Board meeting to protest the March 13 decision to end year-round calendars at Harold Ambuehl and San Juan elementary schools. Kim Herkewitz said she’s not giving up the fight to reverse the board’s decision. “The more information I get, I probably will go back,” she said.
This was part of an effort to shave $331,000 from the budget.
