Re “Goldberg Protests Length of Strike-Related Jail Stay,” April 27:

If L.A. Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg doesn’t “want law enforcement resources tied up” during the Democratic National Convention or efforts “duplicated,” then she should tell her constituents to obey the law. Getting arrested is not the method for proving some point. I hope the city attorney files charges against her. But, of course, it’s apparent she expects special treatment. She was very fortunate; according to the law, she could have stayed there for 40 more hours.
