Ice Dogs Trail Chicago Three Games to None

The Ice Dogs put themselves on the brink of elimination in their Western Conference semifinal series with Chicago when they lost, 5-1, to the Wolves Monday night at Long Beach.

The defeat put the Ice Dogs down, 3-0, in the International Hockey League best-of-seven series. Chicago scored twice on the power play, including Niklas Andersson’s go-ahead goal at 17:31 of the first period. Dallas Eakins and Glen Featherstone assisted on the goal.

The Ice Dogs came out with some fire in the second period, outshooting the Wolves, 10-5.
