HUNTINGTON BEACH
To help crack down on narcotics operations, the City Council this week approved spending a $200,000 state grant for the purchase of surveillance equipment, including a three-quarter-ton van.
The grant also will help pay for cameras, recorders and radios. Evidence obtained through surveillance helps the police establish probable cause for a search warrant.
