* AMR Corp.’s American Airlines plans to add as much as a foot of legroom for business passengers on some U.S. and international flights in an attempt to sell more high-fare seats. American said it will remove a row of business-class seats on its 88 planes that have business, coach and first-class seating. The company expects to complete the changes by the fourth quarter of next year. The company didn’t disclose the cost of the move, which will increase space between business-class seats to 60 inches from 48 to 50 inches.
