The city has issued an ultimatum to the owners of Hollydale Mobile Estates to fix electrical problems at the park within a year or face severe penalties.

Last week, Kort and Scott Realty submitted a five-year plan to repair the park’s electrical infrastructure, which residents complained often shut down and left them without power.

The city said that’s too long for residents to wait for reliable electricity and told the owners to fix the problem before next summer or it would take legal action against them.

Karen Haluza, a senior management analyst with the city charged with handling issues related to Hollydale, said the city gave the company a week from Tuesday to draft a one-year plan.

“If they do not submit that plan by the end of next week, we’ve been given clearance by [the state] to file a lawsuit against them.”
