19 Reportedly Slain at Rebel Roadblock

Islamic insurgents opened fire on a bus, killing at least 19 people after the driver refused to stop at a rebel roadblock near Algiers, residents said. About 26 other people were injured. The massacre was the worst in recent months in Algeria, which has been in the grip of an Islamic insurgency for eight years.
