Beckman Coulter Expands Immunoassay System Pact

Beckman Coulter Inc., a Fullerton manufacturer of medical instruments and systems for blood and other cell analysis, said Thursday it has expanded its immunoassay system contract with an Irving, Texas, company.
Beckman said in a press release that the revised agreement with Novation, a cost-management company in health care, is valued at $45 million over 2 1/2 years.
Novation also has contracts for Beckman’s hematology, clinical chemistry, automation, centrifugation, specific protein, electrophoresis and capillary zone electrophoresis, flow cytometry and other immunochemistry systems and reagents.
