Venegas Wins Twice in Speedway Racing

Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino won the four-lap scratch main event Saturday in speedway motorcycle racing before an announced crowd of 6,006 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Brad Oxley was second, Bobby Schwartz third and Randy DiFrancesco fourth.

Venegas also won the eight-lap handicap main event. Ryan Fisher was second, Gary Hicks was third, Shawn McConnell was fourth and Oxley was fifth.
