The Committee to Recall Councilman John M. Gullixson collected almost $15,000 in it efforts to put the recall to a vote, according to the committee’s campaign finance statement filed last week at City Hall.
The committee fell more than 1,000 signatures short of the required 6,550 they had to gather by the April 4 deadline.
According to the campaign statement covering the period between Jan. 1 and April, the committee raised $14,750, of which $10,000 came from two businesses--$5,000 each from Martin Integrated Systems of Orange and Stoner Creek Car Wash of the City of Industry.
Yorba Linda Councilman Henry W. Wedaa, also a key contributor to the campaign, lent a total of about $4,731 to the recall effort, which has reimbursed him, according to the finance statement.
