Tax Rebate
* Re “Legislators Study Projects in Bid to Avoid Tax Rebate,” May 5: For those abominable politicians who don’t favor a tax break even though California is overflowing with money, I suggest they get out a blackboard and explain how a self-employed person making $25,000 a year can afford to pay for food, clothing, shelter, house insurance, health insurance, car insurance, car payments, state, local and federal taxes, savings and one meal out a week.
