THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Thursday:

BREA

* Wildcat Way: Vandalism was reported at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday.

* West Lambert Road: A petty theft was reported in the 1500 block at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

COSTA MESA

* 18th Street: Vandalism was reported in the 100 block at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

* Placentia Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 1000 block at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

DANA POINT

* Del Obispo Street: A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and possessing marijuana in the 33000 block at 9:15 p.m. Monday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Chapman Avenue at Magnolia Street: Police arrested a transient on suspicion of robbery at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The transient allegedly robbed a woman of her purse as she was leaving a store.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Agate Street: Two teens reportedly slashed a car’s tires in the 200 block at 2:37 a.m. Thursday. Officers could not find them.

* Broadway: A family reportedly refused to leave a restaurant after harassing employees in the 200 block at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday. The family left before officers arrived.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Walnut Street: A residential burglary was reported in the 1000 block at 1:49 p.m. Saturday. A television, a Playstation, two VCRs and pictures were taken.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Backbay Drive: A cellular phone valued at $300 was stolen in the 1000 block between 9:45 and 11 p.m. Saturday.

* Marine Avenue: Clothing valued at $106 was stolen from a store in the 200 block between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

* Narcissus Avenue: A compact disc player valued at $250 was stolen from a car in the 600 block between 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:45 a.m. Monday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Estacion: Money was reportedly stolen from a parking meter at the beach in the 1800 block at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

* Avenida Pico: A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine after he was stopped for a traffic violation near El Camino Real at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Calle la Purisma: A woman reported a man was looking at her through her window in the 31000 block at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies did not find the man.

YORBA LINDA

* Vista del Amigo: An attempted burglary was reported in the 5000 block at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, La Habra, La Palma, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
