New Controller Headed to El Pollo Loco
Edward Holman has joined El Pollo Loco in Irvine as controller. He was previously director of corporate financial services at Advantica Restaurant Group Inc., which includes the Denny’s, Coco’s and Carrows chains. Advantica also owned El Pollo Loco before selling it in December to American Securities Capital Partners LP. Holman has also held management positions at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.
* Louanne Punsalang has been named controller of D&L; Sheet Metal in Fullerton. She was previously a controller with First American Title in Santa Ana.

Newsmakers--Tanya McElhaney and Vicki MacLachlan were misidentified in the Orange County Newsmakers column May 14. McElhaney has been appointed general manager of Casta del Sol Homeowners Assn. in Mission Viejo. MacLachlan is the new corporate controller at Sonance in San Clemente.

* Tanya McElhaney has been appointed general manager of Casta del Sol Homeowners Assn. in Mission Viejo, managed by Professional Community Management Inc. She had been community relations manager at Leisure World in Laguna Woods, also managed by Professional Community.
* David Fournier has been named acting chief executive of Netgui Inc. in Irvine. Before joining the company, Fournier was senior vice president of sales, marketing, and field operations at Peerless Systems Corp. He was also president and founder of Peerless Systems Co. Ltd., the company’s Japanese subsidiary.
* Sheri Grady has been named senior vice president and manager of City National Bank’s Orange County private banking team in Irvine. Grady joined City National in 1997. Prior to that, she was owner and founder of a financial services company, and held positions at Ganis Credit Corp., Bank of America and Bank of the West.
* Vicki MacLachlan is the new corporate controller at Sonance in San Clemente. She most recently held financial management positions at Endevco Corp. in San Juan Capistrano. MacLachlan was also assistant controller for Anpro Development Corp. in Visalia.
* Benjamin Di Lello has been named vice president of worldwide sales for CenTOR Software Corp. in Irvine. He had been senior vice president of sales and marketing for HNCIS, a division of HNC Software, and before that was vice president of sales for Glovia International. Bert Honour was appointed vice president of automotive sales. Prior to joining CenTOR, he was executive director of the automotive region for Engineering Animation Inc., a maker of 3D visualization software. Also, Dan Camarda was named vice president of marketing. He was formerly vice president of worldwide marketing for Auspex, a maker of network storage systems.
* John Baughn has joined Kore in Newport Beach as director of system architecture. He had been senior database administrator at Bergen Brunswig Corp. In addition, Dennis Williams was named director of development. Williams has 20 years of information technology and software development experience, including 15 years with Unisys Corp.
* Teresa Willard has been named creative manager at RiechesBaird Advertising, Public Relations and E-business in Irvine. Before joining the company, she was production manager at Townsend & O’Leary.
