* Mary Parent has been promoted to executive vice president of production at Universal Pictures, Universal City. She will develop and supervise feature film products for the studio.

Universal Pictures is a division of Universal Studios.

* Theodore Jansen has been named vice president of Disney Travel Online, North Hollywood. He will be in charge of the e-commerce travel business for all the Disney destination entertainment sites.

Disney Online is part of Go.com, the Internet business of the Walt Disney Co.

* DIGS Inc. announced it has made two executive appointments. Karl Ehlert has been hired as chief financial officer and controller and William B. Barnett has been named corporate general counsel.

The company designs and develops multimedia and communications solutions for corporations. The company is in the process of changing its name to iVideoNow Inc.

* Thomas Pearson has been appointed vice president of internal audit for the Ryland Group, Woodland Hills. He will be responsible for financial and operational audits within the company.

Ryland is a home construction and mortgage-finance company.

* Andrea Korfin has been promoted to president of the technical staffing group at National Technical Systems, Calabasas. She will be responsible for all operations of the group.

The company provides quality and compatibility testing and staffing services primarily for information technology and telecommunications businesses.

* UNOVA Inc., Woodland Hills, announced the appointments of James A. Herman and Kyle H. Seymour as senior vice presidents of the corporation.

Herman will become group executive of Lamb Technicon’s global group of companies based in Warren, Mich. The division provides manufacturing systems design and engineering services to the automotive industry.

Seymour will be responsible for the company’s Landis Grinding Systems and Cincinnati Machine Divisions. The division provides precision grinding technology for engine manufacturing.

UNOVA supplies integrated production systems for the automotive and aerospace industries.
