Gang Incident Blamed in Fatal Shooting of 20-Year-Old in Sylmar
A 20-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday in a gang-related incident at a party in Sylmar, police said.
Joel Neri was at the party in the 13800 block of Hubbard Street when a dispute between two rival gangs erupted about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Los Angeles Police Officer Eduardo Funes said.
Neri, who was shot several times, died at the scene, Funes said.
No suspects have been arrested and LAPD Foothill Division detectives are investigating the shooting, Funes said.
