Volunteers are needed to place nearly 3,000 crosses and flags on the graves of veterans at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, in preparation of the 62nd annual Fullerton Memorial Day Observance on May 29. The workers are needed at the cemetery no earlier than 8 a.m. Saturday to place a small cross and an American flag at the graves of each veteran buried at the park.

Volunteers are also needed at 8 a.m. May 30 to remove the crosses and flags and place them in storage. Participants are encouraged to bring wheelbarrows, wagons or carts with them.

The American Veterans Memorial Assn. is also seeking donations to buy the crosses and flags. Donations may be sent to P.O. Box 0824, Fullerton, CA 92832.
