Council Member Gets Probation for Trespassing
PASADENA —
A La Puente city councilman was sentenced Tuesday to two years’ probation for trespassing at his former girlfriend’s East Los Angeles home.
Pasadena Superior Court Judge C. Edward Simpson also ordered Edward Rodarte, 26, a Walnut school police officer and a Los Angeles reserve police officer, to pay a $250 fine in connection with his misdemeanor conviction.
Simpson dismissed a second charge alleging that Rodarte made a terrorist threat against his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend on Sept. 26, 1999.
