No on 37: ‘Clean It Up’
* If Prop. 37 passes, taxpayers will be responsible for cleaning up any environmental health hazards created by oil, tobacco and alcohol corporations. Popular understanding to the contrary, oil, tobacco and alcohol do mix! Greed has motivated this unholy alliance to try to trick California voters into thinking that Prop. 37 protects us from hidden taxes.
Every parent tells his or her children, “If you make a mess, you have to clean it up.” I say no thanks to the backers of Prop. 37. The taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay now for the messes that they created, messes that they should have cleaned up some time ago using their own resources.
