ANAHEIM
Ninth-grader Jennifer Higashi will represent Orange County at the National Groundwater Foundation’s 2000 Youth Summit on Environmental Health this month in Nebraska.
The Orange County Water District’s ground water guardian team chose Higashi for the all-expenses paid trip based on her essay and an interview that conveyed a strong enthusiasm for learning about water issues and the environment.
The three-day conference in Nebraska City will educate students from all over the country about the connections between the environment and human health.
