Dennis Erickson denied a report that a deal to bring the Oregon State coach to USC was in the works.
Erickson has emerged as a possible candidate should Hackett be released from the job.
“I don’t want my name linked with anything like that,” Erickson said. “I’m happy here, as I’ve said many times.”
Erickson is in the first year of a five-year contract that pays him about $600,000 annually, including incentives. Earlier this week, Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart said he was in the process of reworking Erickson’s contract.
