Scheer Sons on Nader
* Re “Lesser-Evil Voting Is a Hard Sell to His Sons,” by Robert Scheer, Commentary, Oct. 31: All I have to say to Peter and Christopher Scheer is, as a Mexican American woman who, along with her father, lost a small business due to the ’92 recession, it is a scary thought to me that another Bush might be president.
We are the group you would think would vote for Ralph Nader. But we remember the hell we went through under Papa Bush. We may not be making millions, but we are better off today. And if you think reproductive rights are eroding now, just see how fast the complete erosion will occur under George W. Bush.
I’ve learned with age that compromising is very important. You’ll learn that you can’t have everything you want. Nader apparently hasn’t learned.
